Surgery & Neutering

At Arra Veterinary Clinic, O'Brien Street, Tipperary Town... Surgery and Theatre Facilities

All routine surgeries can be carried out in our well-equipped theatre. Generally you will be asked to drop off your pet early on the morning of the surgery, having made sure he or she fasted the night before. Because there is nothing more important than your pet’s safety, he or she will receive a thorough physical examination before any sedation or anaesthetic agents are administered.

Surgery Services Include:

  •     Full Physical Examination
  •     Gas Anaesthetic and Oxygen equipment
  •     Respiratory monitoring
  •     Anaesthetic Monitoring
  •     Pain Assessment
  •     Recovery Area
  •     Post-Op Check up

Neutering

Here at Arra Veterinary clinic we advise that all Pets not intended for breeding are neutered by six months old. Pets should be fasted and will be admitted that morning for surgery. After a full clinical examination and weigh in the animal will be operated on. Most pets are fit to go home that afternoon with pain relief. Post op check up is included in the price.
